Pirates are awesome, and I was really excited to find out that I would get a chance to make a new pirate outfit for There. But what kind of pirate would I make? A fearsome scourge of the seas? A brave swashbuckler? Or a charming scoundrel? Today's romantic view of pirates is a scruffy-looking, charismatic, well-travelled man of the sea. That brought me to my design for a classic, lovable rogue. I began with a rough sketch of the look I wanted. Adorned in red linens and worn leathers, the rogue was a lover, not a fighter. But I still wouldn't want to get on a dangerous pirate's bad side. I'm very happy with the way the final There version came out.
"The Rogue travels the 7 Seas in search of adventure and romance." This hi-res outfit features a thick leather belt with everything a pirate would need and a durable distressed leather frock coat to protect him from the elements. His gray linen pants and heavy leather boots show the signs of a long journey. Closer examination reveals details like tattered cloth sash, red patterned bandana, crude leather waist belt, an iron cross on a silver chain, a treasured ornate dagger, and hefty belt pouches to stash all your booty. Match this outfit with a warm caramel tan, and of course, the pirate eyepatch by There.
