Hot August Nights need one thing: classic cool. If the sunny paradise of There existed back in the 50s, I think the computer-savvy (ok, if home pc's also existed) pixel fashionistas of There would sport a fun casual look reminiscent of 1950s-era Southern California. I wanted to get away from a roleplay costume this time around and create a look (http://c5studio.com/therepics/tfc04_c5ketch.jpg ) that captured the charisma and mystique of the 1950s.
Inspired by the style and attitude of the Hot Blues, I wanted a shirt that a guy could be just as comfortable in while sipping martinis, as in cruising the boulevard, hanging with the fellas at the diner, or taking his lady to the drive-in. The navy blue and teal rayon bowling shirt is breezy and stylish. Intricate stripes, 5 plastic shell buttons and a "Blue Martini" motif on the front and back adorn this retro look.
