The 1950's is a favorite time for many people. It's one of mine. I love the bobby socks, as well as Rock 'N Roll, the rebel leather-clad hoods, the letterman-jacket jocks, and the nerdy brains.
But what to choose! There are already more then a few leather jackets in There, so I went with jocks vs brains. My guy’s a bit of both. His hair is the Biff in starry night, he wears gray retro glasses, and his letterman jacket is from TFC modeling club (the equivalent of a chess club jacket, so he probably would get beaten up by the football jocks if he got caught wearing it around campus). Still, he is very proud of his jacket, which is embroidered with TFC in white right above his name. The jacket is a red/maroon color with red and yellow/gold cuffs.
His number, 88, is proudly displayed on the white leather jacket arms, and the school’s letter (a big "T") is yellow/gold with red trim, and sewn on the back of the jacket. The jacket mostly covers an olive green sweater.
His pants are jeans, still dirty from working on his hotrod after school. In one back pocket is his comb to keep his hair in place - and in the other, his smokes. In 1950’s, smoking was heavily promoted, and smoking in the boys room was a sign you were cool. He wants very much to be cool and part of the in crowd.
