I really enjoyed doing this latest challenge. The idea of designing the official Gold medal jackets was a fun idea and my approach was to make them look as realistic and detailed as possible. The outfits are off-white warm up suits with sporty red and blue stripes that match the THERE logo colors. We were only required to make the jackets but I just thought the pants would really complete the outfit for the runway show.

The arms of the jackets have 16 different colored stripes on them symbolizing all the colors of members’ nametags that we have in THERE. I wanted the jackets to honor all the colors of the nametags that will unite for the THERE Games in fun and competition.

On the back of the jacket, I included the famous THERE logo, THERE Games, and Summer 2006 for this year’s jackets.

To complete the outfit, I designed a gold medal with the letter, “T”, hung by a red, white, and blue ribbon which hangs from around the neck. I also included the word, “Gold”, to brand the jackets as this year’s THERE Games Summer 2006 Official Gold Medal jackets.
