This challenge hit very near and dear to my heart. Those in the Uru Community know why. It is because I am the founder of the equivalent of the ThereGames in UntilUru. The one lesson that I took away from that entire experience is that virtual worlds, like There, are a great equalizer. For those who are dis-abled in real life, they are able in There. The one thing I always try to remember is that under the light of our Therian Sun, no matter your physical ability, all things become possible. For me, nothing is more important than events like the ThereGames because they enable so many people to do what they might not be able to do in their real lives.

To me, a gold medal winner is someone with poise and elegance. They might be a world-class athlete, but after all the sweating is done, they still want to look good to show off their hard-earned medal. This week, I have chosen to respect all of the 16 teams by going with a jacket bathed in a warm, neutral, summery glow, the back emblazoned with the Therian Summer Sun. The sun lights the way for torch bearers running to light the flame of victory in the T-shaped Cauldron created by Majandi. Since it gets so warm in our sunny virtual world, I have rolled up the cuffs and left the jackets open to keep the athletes cool and comfortable.

In every Olympiad, the host nation creates unique medals for the athletes. In that spirit, for the 2006 Summer ThereGames, I have created a new style for the medal as well. Attached to a red and blue lanyard, it is a Golden Sun to symbolize the summer games.

Good Luck to all of the Athletes in their quest for glory under the light of our Therian Sun.
