| I really enjoyed doing this last challenge as it
gave me a chance to design a collection that fits my personal
style. The latest fashion trends indicate that red is the new
black so all the outfits have some red in them. I also wanted to bring
back the mod style of the 60’s with the bold colors, geometric patterns
and oh yes, the mini skirt! |

| The first outfit is called the Mod outfit.
You see circular patterns throughout the design, a bold red skirt with
an off white sweater shell and matching circular necklace. Big,
wide belts are also in this season and you can see that all three
outfits do carry the wide belt. The belt buckle continues with the
circular theme of the outfit. The matching red shoes complete the
outfit with some circular patterns as well. |

| The second outfit is titled the Squared
outfit. Continuing w/ the geometric theme, this outfit has the
square pattern throughout the design. I loved the black and
yellow contrast with the top and skirt as it made the outfit stand
out. The shoes are an extended boot that was also popular in the
60’s. However, instead of leather, these boots are black suede with
front laces and a buckle to give them an updated look. |

| The final piece is the Trends outfit. A
bold red jacket with wide sleeves and collar is a modified version of
the 60’s duster coat. The jacket is updated with the latest fashion
trend, and is cropped. I chose a timeless houndstooth pattern for
the skirt to go with the geometric theme. The shoes incorporate
the colors of the jacket, with black lining, and a small houndstooth
pattern to make the outfit come together. I’d like to wish Geea and Shaeri good luck and it’s been a pleasure getting to know both of you during this challenge. |
